Over the last 3 years, ever since the creation of our company, many of LLcloud’s clients have been companies and organisations developing novel cutting-edge solutions where multi-sensor data from various sources and platforms needs to be combined and jointly analysed. Some of them have been startups and scale-ups, but there have been also many universities and research centres, who have explored and tested blue-sky research ideas and rapidly created multi-sensor data MVPs of their new concepts and solutions using the LLcloud platform.
Today we want to announce a new strategic partnership with Digital Spaces Living Lab (https://www.digitalspaces.info/), one of the leading Living Labs in Europe, to bring the use of LLcloud’s platform and its capabilities in innovation and research projects to the next level and make it the platform of choice for such studies and rapid prototyping by researchers in Europe and around the world.
In the last 15 years Digital Spaces Living Lab (DSLL) has conducted over 45 large-scale product and technology validation trials for clients in the fields of smart cities, location-based services (LBS), Earth Observation, smart agriculture, mobile apps, wearables, well-being and sports, museums and art galleries, games, digital media, etc. DSLL has won several European Living Lab competitions and has participated in many European research and innovation projects. For 10 years DSLL was of the special partners of the European Satellite Navigation Competition and the Galileo Incubation programme. DSLL has supported and incubated the winners and finalists of the annual Galileo Living Lab Prize and other innovation competition winners, including PanDia (Germany), Polar Bearings (Germany), Epic Blue (Belgium), Sinebus (Italy), ArteMapp (Germany), Tocsen (Germany), Sawcer (Spain), cleanSpot (Spain), Mosa-X (Germany), Safety Truck (UK), PPP WizLite (France), GoWalk (UK), Tag Story (Norway), Loupe (the Netherlands), Ampido (Germany), SellNews (Germany), Vamos (Germany), Geo-Coupon (Taiwan), etc.
DSLL has very significant hands-on experience and know-how of the LLcloud platform, having used an extension of it under the brand LivingLab.cloud in the last 3 years in a range of Living Lab trials for various wearables, IoT, smart city and smart agriculture clients (learn more about some of these Living Lab trials here).
Starting in 2026, expect to see many new use cases of LLcloud’s platform in advanced research and innovation projects, enabled and facilitated by this new strategic partnership.
